The year 2024 is coming to a close.
I have to say I didn’t have much to offer in photography and blogging. Once again, it was the year of reboots and not having any idea what I want to do. Sometimes I feel I’ve become burned out, shooting photos and where to post them while avoiding platform and social media drama.
One big accomplishment in 2024 was a big summer road trip that also included my 50th birthday. Traveling to Craters of the Moon in Idaho, Yellow Stone National Park, Grand Tetons, Independence Pass in Colorado, Telluride, Four Corners, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Extraterrestrial Highway, Tonopah, and Crater Lake. Big trip!
Some of the national parks I want to revisit and spend more time exploring. Crater Lake is obviously one I can do on a weekend. Zion is definitely a park I want to revisit. I definitely want to avoid the locusts covering the roads around Austin, Nevada.
Also, Yosemite National Park is another one I want to visit and had to pass because of timed entry tickets.
That road trip was originally to be down to Salton Sea and Death Valley. I nope out of that trip when the high temperatures were peaking around 130°F (54.4°C).
What’s in store for 2025?
For the year 2025, I’m hoping to do more photo adventures. I’d like to keep it regional where it’s less driving and possibly more hiking. I really need to build my blog and photos back up, and at the same time to start getting back into shape.
